Some things only happen once. So we made it free.
Make as many Cutters and Imprint Cutters as you like and download every STL. No card and no trial clock, because the things people make here don't wait for a budget.
There's a dinosaur on your fridge with six legs.
Next year it'll have four.
Cutter: $0.00.
You still know the exact shape of those ears.
The collar's in a drawer now. Some Sunday you're going to want to bake something about it. Nobody should ask you to start a trial first.
Cutter: $0.00.
There are only so many recipe cards in Grandma's handwriting.
Press one word of it into the dough it was written about.
Imprint Cutter: $0.00.
You make earrings at the kitchen table after everyone's asleep.
You haven't told anyone you might sell them. You don't have to tell us either. Commercial use comes with the free plan, and there's no form to fill in.
Imprint Cutter: $0.00.
You already paid for the glue sticks.
And the good markers, and the tissue paper. Bring a kid's own drawing, and make a first 3D print they actually keep. This one's on us.
Cutter: $0.00.
You told everyone the 3D printer would be useful.
Eleven tiny boats later, hand them a cookie.
Cutter: $0.00.
Nobody wakes up wanting an STL file.
They want that dinosaur. Those ears. That handwriting. A small thing with a lot of love packed into it, usually by Saturday, usually only once.
You can't put a birthday on a monthly plan.
I think about the moment right before any of this gets made. You have a picture on your phone and a maybe. You're excited, you're not sure, and you're one small thing away from talking yourself out of it. That's the exact moment most software picks to ask for your card.
So you close the tab, and you tell yourself it was a silly idea anyway.
It wasn't.
Nine dollars isn't much, unless it's the nine dollars you moved around to cover something else this month. The person in that spot has the same right to the dinosaur as anybody.
Every file costs real money to build, and I look at that bill more often than I'd like to admit. I'm keeping this free anyway. Bring your idea, shape it, turn it around in 3D, download the file, and do it again. There's no meter on it.
I'd rather you made the thing.
Nate, Founder of BakePress
The first print is rarely the last.
A cutter is a physical thing. You only find out if it works when you press it into the dough. If every try cost something, you'd stop trying right before it got good.
- First try: One leg stayed in the dough.
- Fatter legs: All six made it. The spikes stuck.
- Wider spikes: Better. Too big for the cookie.
- Same dinosaur, a little smaller: That's the one.
The bakery running 25 sizes on a Tuesday pays for the dinosaur on Saturday.
Building your file takes real servers, and servers cost real money. That bill gets paid by people using BakePress for bigger jobs: matched sets, whole size runs, batches for a shop.
If that's you, thank you. You've been buying strangers dinosaurs and you didn't even know it. If it's never you, that's exactly how this is supposed to work.
Anything you download is yours. It stays on your computer, whatever happens to your plan.

Is it really free?
Yes. The Starter plan costs $0, with no card and no trial that runs out. It includes unlimited Cutter and Imprint Cutter STL exports.
What does unlimited mean here?
There is no monthly cap on how many Cutter and Imprint Cutter STL files you can download, one design at a time. Other models export on Spark or Pro. We do keep safeguards against automated abuse, which normal making won't come near.
What are credits for?
AI generation. A Smart Bundle idea uses 1 credit and a generated outline uses 5. Starter comes with 75 a month. Exporting an STL never spends them.
Do I need a 3D printer?
No. Make the file for free, then hand it to a friend, a library, a makerspace, or a print service.
Can I sell what I make on the free plan?
Every plan includes commercial use for files you create with BakePress. Use original or properly licensed source artwork, follow marketplace rules, and comply with local requirements for the products you sell.
Go make the thing you came here thinking about.
When it comes out of the oven, send a picture to [email protected]. I'd love to see it.
Every tool pictured here is a real BakePress export. The moments are imagined, though you may recognize one.
